What I've taken away from this, and some random thoughts:

-Audience (Male 18-34), Endemic/Non-Endemic Companies
-Fill Rates - different partnerships between companies mean they have different fill rates, twitch has better us/western, own3d has better CIS iirc
-Join forces with established companies in different markets
-Market Penetration
-PG13 for Non-Endemic (a bit of a mind-trip, since they need to keep public perception but want a specific market, just waiting for a snipe by a focus group)
-10k+ for 5 year/50k viewers, 25-50k w/ discounts for major event, 100k+ w/ no discounts
-partnership with CBSi for filling ads in other places
-CDS/CDM + bandwidth, but seems to not be big enough to require peering agreements yet(?)
-subscription model - should grow quickly, saving time with money/NOT MISSING ANSWERS WHEN YOU TUNE IN LATE
-subs, pt 2. - focus energies to grow/appreciate subscribers, ex. team monobattles/playing with subs, victorycat whisky, etc
-allow devs to "control message" by working with them, leaked betas etc
-lock in partners/personalities
-realtime screening system - require a slightly longer delay in order to do live screening with automated audio/video system (possibly resource intensive to run)
-Hasn't raised capital since 2008, is profitable for 2 years iirc

Personal thoughts:
-Still waiting for Steam/Origin/GFWL(?) to announce video ads/streams embedded in client, leverage huge install base to skyrocket views, CDM to spread ads -> conflict of interest with selling games vs. selling ads; maybe selling embedded streams tab only in client and have weak integration? ex. LoL as a general model with streams embedded in client on startup
-How to minimize/neutralize blowback for companies advertising a la Rush Limbaugh after his comments about Georgetown University female law student - if some content suddenly becomes blown up in the media, how does a streaming company deal with that?
-Headed to companies acquiring others in different regions, or an airline "alliance" with companies that form oligarchies/federations? in order to extend reach and hit maximum fill
-I get real tired of memorizing ads for an event after 3-5 hours. can an established name (CBSi) really bring in more ads, and some that interest the 18-34 market? Or will the new ads brought in continue to be generally targeted?
-I like subscriptions, but really for things I want to watch or support. Call it cable blowback, steam bundle fatigue, but I really don't want to watch/support more than an infinitesimal fraction of the streams on, usually linked to me. Keyed links to show exactly who is recommending people coming in? how do specific streams (like thegdstudio) split their sub revenue with twitch? (do they split at all?)

Another thought on spectating in vidya games in general.

WE HAVE THE LUXURY OF WATCHING ON THE SAME THINGS THAT MAKE OUR PASTTIMES WORK! WE SHOULDN'T BE AS DISCONNECTED FROM THE GAME AS IF WE WERE WATCHING IT FROM HIGH IN THE STANDS! WHEN DOES THE INTERACTIVE PART SPREAD TO SPECTATING?!

Example: F1 seems to be doing pretty good with this. If you buy their apps, you'll be notified of races, lap times, DQs or even accidents... on an updating representation of a track. You'll know how bad Vettel is doing in 2012, oh noes. It shouldn't be too hard to extend this to showing timers for people hitting build timings, for example.

And more, but that's a editorial for ESFI one day.

I had a teacher tell me that stories are about a central conflict and the resolution of that conflict. The easiest way to do that is through a difference in the starting situation - maybe two lovers want to give gifts to each other, but they have no way to get the gifts (of the magi). Maybe that's why I find Dota and CS much more interesting than SC and LoL, there is a (pronounced) difference in starting states at the beginning of each round(s). Push vs. turtle? Econ rounds? Map choices? It doesn't require meta-conflict about a player in a slump, or rivalries to make the game interesting, you have conflict to grab onto at hero, map or weapon choices.

Or maybe it's the teamwork involved, the espirit de corps. If I really wanted to sit down and focus on one thing by myself, I think I'd rather attempt to learn a new language (human or computer) (although I'd really be wasting time on reddit.) I'm an addict for playing cooperatively with people against anything and anyone.

Or this is a test post, and you shouldn't read too much into this.
